It seems that I am reporting alot of sad news lately. Mary Jane Murphy,
the newsletter editor for the Chicagoland Sky Liners, passed away Monday
September 13th. The wake will be held at Ahlgrim Funeral Home at 567 Spring Road in Elmhurst between 2pm and 9pm on Thursday 9/16/99.

It is with great sadness that I have to report the Betty Hasegawa passed away this morning (Sunday, Aug 1st), from complications resulting from a heart attack. Betty was an active member of both the Chicagoland Sky Liners and the AKA. A frequent particapant at the AKA convention and the Junction Kitemakers Retreat, she gave freely of her time as a translater for the Japanese kitemakers. A warm and friendly kite person, she will be missed. There will be a memorial service at 3pm on Saturday at Heywood Terrace, 920 W Laurence, Chicago, IL 60640.
